Looking for an online stage plot creator? Build offline on desktop.

Browser-based stage plot makers are convenient for quick drawings. Stage Plot Forge is the native alternative for Mac and Windows users who want the canvas, production lists, imported assets, and exported PDF pack in one local document — including at venues with unreliable internet.

When an online stage plot creator is enough

An online tool can be a good fit for a simple one-page layout, a shared computer, or a quick plot that does not need detailed production data. If browser access and real-time collaboration are the main requirements, choose a service designed around those priorities.

Stage Plot Forge is not a browser editor. It is a native desktop app for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later and 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 PCs, built for people who prefer local working files.

Why a native stage plot creator helps at venues

Venue Wi-Fi, backstage mobile coverage, and captive portals are not dependable production infrastructure. Stage Plot Forge keeps stage plots, imported PDF and image assets, input lists, monitor mixes, equipment requirements, and notes in a portable document on your computer.

With active access, day-to-day editing and export stay local during temporary outages. Internet is needed for the purchase and restoration steps of your edition, including Apple trial activation or direct-edition account and entitlement operations.

Build more than a picture

  • Arrange performers, microphones, monitors, backline, risers, power, and utilities on a precise stage canvas
  • Choose from 376 production symbols and import your own PDF, PNG, or JPEG assets
  • Create input lists, monitor mixes, equipment lists, production notes, and preflight checks beside the plot
  • Export vector PDF, PNG, JPEG, CSV, and print-ready production documents

Choose the workflow that matches the show

For occasional browser-based sketches, an online stage plot creator may be the simplest option. For repeatable stage plans, festival changeovers, and production documents that must remain available offline, a native desktop project provides a stronger source of truth.

Stage Plot Forge offers 14-day trials and one-time purchases with no recurring subscription. Apple purchases are separate from website/Windows licenses; the download page shows prices and activation steps for each edition. Your existing local documents remain yours, openable and exportable.

Turn the next advance into a clear production pack.

Choose your Mac or Windows edition, see how to activate its 14-day trial, and compare one-time purchase options. Apple and website purchases are separate.
