Every edition includes a full-featured 14-day trial and a one-time purchase option. The Mac App Store edition uses Apple purchases; Windows and the direct Mac edition use a Stage Plot Forge account for purchased access.

Mac App Store edition

Free download. Activate the free 14-day trial through Apple, then unlock creating and editing with a one-time in-app purchase.

Permanent Access: €29 in Portugal. Prices vary by storefront; check the price in the app before purchasing. No subscription.

Use your Apple Account for trial activation, purchases and restoration. Updates come from the App Store.

Stage Plot Forge for Windows

Install from Microsoft Store. The free 14-day trial starts on first opening, without an account. Then purchase a €29 lifetime license through your Stage Plot Forge account and Stripe.

Microsoft Store delivers automatic updates. An Apple purchase does not unlock the Windows edition.

Already purchased through the website?

Keep using the direct-download Mac edition with your existing Stage Plot Forge account. Your website purchase also covers the Windows edition.

Website purchases do not transfer to, and cannot be restored in, the Mac App Store edition. You do not need to buy again to keep using your direct edition.

Your first three minutes

Install. On Mac, get the app from the Mac App Store. For the direct edition, open the DMG and move the app to Applications. On Windows, choose Install in Microsoft Store.
Activate your trial. In the Mac App Store edition, open Account & License and choose Start Free 14-day Trial, then confirm the free transaction through Apple. The direct Mac and Windows trials start on first opening.
Explore. Choose “Explore Example” to inspect a completed plot and its production data. Open “3D View” to rotate the setup and try a PNG or PDF + 3D export.
Build. Return to the Welcome window and create a stage plot for your own show during the active trial.

System requirements

Mac: Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later.
Windows: 64-bit Windows 10 version 22H2 (build 19045) or Windows 11. Windows 11 on Arm uses the operating system's x64 emulation.
Mac App Store: an Apple Account and internet connection are needed to activate the free trial, purchase or restore access. No Stage Plot Forge account is required.
Direct Mac and Windows: the trial starts without an account or internet. Sign-in and internet are needed for purchase, restoration and entitlement refresh.
Keep your stage plot documents in a backed-up location. Documents can move between the Mac and Windows versions.

Automatic signed updates on both platforms

The Mac App Store edition updates through the App Store. The direct Mac edition checks its signed feed with the built-in updater. On Windows, Microsoft Store signs the app and delivers new releases automatically in the background.

Every public installer and update is signed for its platform. A new release replaces the app without replacing your local stage plot documents.

Start with every feature for 14 days

Mac App Store: the 14 days begin when you activate Start Free 14-day Trial through Apple. The trial does not renew or charge automatically. Restoring it does not restart the trial period.

Direct Mac and Windows: the 14 days begin on first opening. Creating, editing, opening, preflight, and every export format are included.

After either trial ends, existing projects remain openable and exportable. A one-time purchase in your edition unlocks creating and editing permanently.

Get the lifetime license inside the app

Mac App Store: choose Buy Once in Account & License and confirm the price through Apple. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account to recover purchased access.

Direct Mac and Windows: sign in inside Stage Plot Forge and start the secure Stripe checkout for a one-time €29 purchase. Use the same Stage Plot Forge account to restore that license.

Purchases are separate between Apple and the direct/Windows editions. An Apple purchase does not include Windows. Day-to-day editing and export stay local once access is active.
