Stage Plot Forge is the product and service covered by this policy. João Mexia, trading as JP Tech, operates the service, determines how the account, purchase, support, and analytics information described below is processed, and acts as the data controller where applicable.

Your stage plot documents stay local
Stage Plot Forge stores stage plots, production lists, notes, and imported assets in documents on your computer. We do not upload the contents of those documents to our service. If you choose to attach a document or export to a support request, we use it only to investigate and respond to that request.
The app stores the trial start, end, last-seen time, and clock-integrity state in a local secure record: the non-synchronizing login Keychain on macOS or Windows Credential Manager on Windows. These trial details are not uploaded to InstantDB or Stripe. The record normally remains across app updates and reinstalls.
Information we process
When you create or use an account, we process the information needed to provide the service. This can include your email address, internal account identifiers, authentication records, purchase and license status, and relevant timestamps.
When you visit the website or use online service endpoints, hosting and security systems can process standard technical data such as IP address, browser or app version, requested URL, response status, and request time. When you contact support by email, we process your email address, message, email metadata, and any diagnostic details or attachments you choose to send.
If you explicitly enable anonymous usage analytics in the Mac app, it creates a random installation identifier and sends a small set of product milestones, app version, build number, and broad platform value. Milestones can include first opening, choosing an example or template, creating a project, adding the first symbol, reviewing production data, passing preflight, completing an export, starting checkout, activating a license, and finishing the quick-start checklist. The analytics payload does not include document content, filenames, project titles, artist or venue names, notes, email addresses, account identifiers, or payment details.
Product feedback submitted through the website or Mac app is stored in our private administration dashboard. The feedback record contains the category, message, source, status, and timestamps. Website submissions do not attach an account or email address. Mac app submissions additionally include only the app version and build, macOS version, and Mac architecture; they do not include stage plots, filenames, account details, or other document content.
Hosting and cookie-free traffic measurement
Vercel processes ordinary request information to deliver and protect the website and online service, and provides us with request and reliability totals. We use aggregate counts by route, response status, and time period to understand service demand, page delivery, and requested downloads. The stable download button passes through a first-party route that is counted by the hosting service and immediately redirects to the immutable installer file.
Vercel Web Analytics also records anonymous page views and aggregated information such as page, referrer, browser, device type, and approximate country. It does not place cookies or store an identifier in your browser. Vercel derives a temporary visitor hash from the incoming request to count a visitor within a short session and automatically discards that session identifier after 24 hours. The resulting data is not associated with an individual or IP address.
We do not use Vercel Web Analytics to reconstruct an identifiable browsing journey or combine individual requests or page views with Google Analytics, Instant accounts, Stripe purchases, app licenses, or support records. Declining optional Google Analytics does not disable the cookie-free measurement or technical processing needed to deliver, secure, and observe the reliability of the service.
Optional analytics and your choice
Google Analytics is disabled until you select “Allow Google Analytics” on this website. If you accept, Google Analytics can use cookies and similar browser storage to measure page views, general device and browser characteristics, approximate location, referral sources, and interactions such as opening the download page or downloading the app. We do not send account email addresses, stage plot content, or payment-card details to Google Analytics.
Your choice is saved in local browser storage so the website can remember it. You can change that choice at any time with the “Google Analytics settings” control in the footer. Declining Google Analytics does not limit the website or app. When you withdraw a previous acceptance, the site disables Google Analytics measurement immediately, requests a denied consent update from Google Analytics, removes its visible first-party analytics cookies from this domain, and reloads the page without Google Analytics. This choice does not control the separate cookie-free Vercel traffic measurement described above.
Mac app analytics are separately disabled until you choose “Share Anonymous Usage.” You can change that choice in the app's Privacy settings. Disabling it stops future milestone delivery and removes the random analytics identifier stored by the app. The first-party endpoint accepts only a fixed list of anonymous event and parameter names, applies rate limits, and forwards accepted milestones to Google Analytics with advertising user-data and personalization consent denied.
Google acts as our analytics service provider and may process analytics data in other countries under its contractual and legal transfer safeguards. Analytics retention is controlled through the applicable Google Analytics account settings and Google policies; aggregated reporting can remain available separately from event-level data.

- To prevent abuse, protect the service, measure aggregate service demand and reliability, and meet legal obligations.

Where European data-protection law applies, these activities are generally based on performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, protecting legitimate interests such as service security, reliability, and minimally aggregated demand measurement, or your consent where consent is required.
Service providers
We use specialist providers to operate the service. Stripe processes checkout, one-time payment, tax-related, and fraud-prevention data. We do not receive or store your complete card number. Instant provides hosted account, purchase, license, feedback, and abuse-prevention infrastructure. Vercel hosts and protects the website and online service endpoints and provides request, reliability, and cookie-free Web Analytics measurement. Google provides Gmail processing when you email support, and provides website or app milestone analytics only after the relevant consent.
These providers may process data in other countries under their contractual and legal transfer safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
Retention and security
We retain account and purchase records for as long as reasonably needed to provide and restore lifetime license access, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, keep required financial records, and comply with law. Support messages, feedback records, and raw technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for product review, operation, security, and diagnosis. Aggregate route, reliability, and download totals that no longer identify a person can be retained for longer-term service planning.
If a payment is refunded, reversed after a dispute, or otherwise becomes unpaid, we retain and update the related purchase and entitlement status for accounting, fraud prevention, and license administration. A server-side revocation reaches the app when it next connects and refreshes; a disconnected computer cannot be remotely updated in real time.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Keep your Mac or Windows account and email account secure, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, and to complain to a data-protection authority. You can also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page with its updated date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel when required.
